Maternity Lifestyle
Maternity sessions are based in your home, the cozy place you've created and where you spend most of your time. The best time to photograph is when you are between 30-35 weeks along. My objective is to capture the love and connection within your family, your story. Whether you're spending time in the nursery you spent so long preparing, or lounging in your bed (because exhaustion is REAL at this point) or cuddled up with your other children as they talk to the new baby through your belly- these photos will be cherished for a lifetime.
Fresh 48
I will come to you at your delivering hospital within the 12-48 hours after having your baby. Those fine, sweet details of a newborn fade quickly after this time period so it's important not to wait until you're home to capture those tiny wrinkly feet and hands, along with their "fresh" little self.
After delivery comes a very special time period- you are finally meeting your new baby you've been dreaming the details over as you examine every part of them to see the new little soul you took nine months to create, and you quickly become a new incredible version of yourself. These days were very special to me so they are my favorite to capture for other families. Whether it's cuddles, feeding, changes, baby swaddled and snoozing, meeting their siblings, the details of your hospital stay- or all the above, I will capture this special time so you can re-live those first days with your new baby over and over.
Newborn Lifestyle
I gladly come to your home and blend in with your family for the time being. Our shoot will consist of baby, your family together, and baby with each parent. No sessions are rushed, but this one I like to really take our time, so I can capture the raw, real life moments that happen with a newborn. We follow baby's lead, so if they need fed or changed, or just Mama's snuggles, we do just that. If there are siblings, have fun with them- tickle them or read them their favorite story, let them be wild. Continue to be your silly selves when I am there, these make the best photos to look back on. I want our session to be relaxed, but also fun for everyone.
Days of Motherhood
This session can literally be anything you have in mind that interests you and your family, which ever your heart wants to stop in time & keep. Examples are: 1/2 birthdays, 1st birthday milestones, the beautiful days of motherhood- story time with your family, baking together, snuggles, maybe your little one just started sitting up so it calls for a kitchen sink bath session! These sessions will take place in your home or the outdoors!
FAQ
How should we dress for our session?
It depends on the session! I would love to talk to you about this after booking, as well as send you a guide to help you- less stress on your end and one less thing to worry about!
When will I receive my photos?
Turn around time is up to two weeks. For Fresh 48, you will receive a few photos to share with family or use for birth announcement the same day.
How many pictures will we receive?
Each package comes with 20 fully edited photos with all printing rights. You absolutely have the option to purchase more, just let me know after receiving your gallery.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
Whether it's a Fresh 48 or In Home session, 10 am is the sweet spot for newborns- but babies will still enjoy having cuddles, feedings, and diaper changes throughout the session and that is okay! I take my time and allow them to have control, after all, it is their session!
What if my kids are shy?
Not an issue! I adore kids, and I've worked with them my whole life. I will get to know them and make it a fun time for them so they break out of their shell! The photoshoots are meant to be fun, playing with Mom + Dad, getting all the tickles and cuddles!
What's the best company use for printing photos or wall art?
Quality is everything. After investing in your photos, I highly suggest printing through my print shop so you know you are getting high quality, professional prints. It will also save you time, no hassle of downloading then uploading to another site and possibly losing quality.
